Need some assistance here....
I have written a feature based in the present but built upon the past. It is full of a lot of reflection scenes which initially, I thought would be great to film HOWEVER, they are based in the late 1700's. I would love, largely in part because this is a rated G film, to instead of filming these scenes insert them into the movie as Comic Strips/Graphic Novel Strips with a voice-over from the character reflecting such.
I know how to write in the (V.O.) however am at a loss in how writers format their scenes depicting these graphic novel strips/comic strips (sorry, I am unsure what they are technically called).
To help understand what I am speaking about...
Think of a school teacher giving a history lesson about the signing of the Declaration of Indipendence...We see the scene of the school teacher in front of his/her pupils discussing the history. Next scene shows that history lesson rather than viewers just hearing about it from the teacher. So the question asked is how does that next scene get formatted properly ie:
INT. OLD TOWN TAVERN. PHILADELPHIA. 1776. DAY (Comic Strip?)
Thomas Jefferson is at a table reading.....
Any help with this is GREATLY APPRECIATED!

I get what you're trying to do. Watch movies & read scripts and steal from them.
Here is Buster Scrugg's script. opens on a book page and transitions to 6 short movies.
