Tonight's the night! I've barely had chance to write for the past few months (owing to tiredness, children, and general resistance), but I've cleared space, literally, I've pre-warned my wife that any child resettling will have to be taken care of without my involvement, if only for a couple of hours. I have a plan of what I'm going to be working on, having gorged on various inspirational podcasts and BAFTA Guru talks, and amassed a route through the wall I've written myself up to.
I'm ready to go!
I'm going to put on some Explosions in the Sky, to keep my ears busy and stop my mind from wandering.
I'm going to set a timer for 20 minutes bursts on each project I'm attacking.
I'm going to write random scene outlines from the main thing to try and get SOMETHING in place.
I'm going to start rereading my first feature script to get the point of it into my heart, ready to reread it a couple more times, ready to start over from scratch.
I'm going to start sketching out the bones of a new idea to figure out what it is, and if there's anything there.
The theory of the 20min bursts is that I can't end up down a dead end, and I won't be more than 40mins away from the last idea I had about one of the other things.
Wish me luck!

But their quality control is a touch unself-conscious and they never take responsibility for their sloppy work.
