A few more thoughts Katheryn... Eastern Europeans are very serious BUT they have a great sense of humor. If your faith-based TV series has some comedy AND if your producer can find national TV stars, like Polish talent for Polish people, or the Ukrainian comedian who was just elected President of Ukraine (LOL), Eastern Europeans will better identify with your TV series... And then, you'll have a hit!
This may be the way to go ~ Eastern Europen actors and director. If you check my loglines, you will see it is like "Highway to Heaven" and "Touched by an Angel" I wrote it for teens and young adults who do not know much about the Bible. It is not schmoozy. Cast members should mostly be thirty or under. Plots are light, though there are serious and fun scenes both.
LOGLINE FOR SERIES (COME FLY WITH ME): Disguised as an eccentric lumberjack & carpenter, the God-Man comes to earth and uses his superpowers to help people while his enemies try to kill him.
LOGLINE FOR PILOT (SEARCH FOR THE KING): After a riot, two first-century nerds make a list of criteria the new God-King must meet to prove who he is, then travel the kingdom to find him.
I have known for a couple years that the President of the Ukraine arrnaged for a Bible to be provided to every student in the country, and for teachers to get extra training in how to read it. Now, it is happening in Bulgaria.
Oh, and I gave it an international flavor with the 12 apostles. We know Simon the Zealot was from Caanan (Lebanon) and Thaddeus was from Syria. Also, Peter, Andrew, James and John as well as Nathaniel were from Galilee which was the far north province full of Gentile foreigners. Judas was from near Jerusalem. I made the nationality of the others the country they went to later as missionaries. So, since Thomas went to India, I made him Indian. Matthew went to Ethiopia, as well as did his brother, James the Less, so I made them Ethiopian. Philip went to Egypt, so I made him Ethiopian. They were all different and sometimes they didn't get along, but most of the time they did.

Are you saying, Stanley, that faith-based TV programs do well in Eastern Europe?

LOL. You know already. You're a humble lady, Katheryn. All the best!
I'd love to know more about that myself.
