I'm looking to launch a Kickstarter campaign for a Web-series. Any advice on where to start? How much work it will take? (don't be general and say "a lot of work" be specific please) What the day to day efforts of pushing the campaign require? Tools I'll need to help present the campaign in the best light? How to price the amount I'll need? In my head $30K - $50k would cover it but i could be wrong and need more or less. I don't really have access to free resources or spaces to shoot. It's a dramatic comedy set in NYC for context. Feedback welcomed.

I have done 2 in my life and failed at both, helpen on a 3rd for a friend and failed to because of one reason. We did not have the social media set up ahead of time... we had none (Or very Little) audience built up ahead of time and we did not have a team in place...

1) Figure out your costs. I.e. do pre-production. You need to know what your minimum goal has to be in order to make the film -- and be sure to account for post as well as for the cost of producing and delivering your perks.
2) While you're doing that, start building a social media presence; Michael is entirely correct. If you wait until you launch your campaign to work on your social media campaign, you've already failed.
3) Plan on keeping the campaign alive. You need to have content to add, plan on responding to support comments and messages, and have content planned that you can share with the supporters as the campaign goes on.
