Producing : Production Software by Jonas David

Production Software

Hey everybody,

I came to the conclusion, that using a software such as Pre Producer and Yamdu is very effective for feature projects especially produced from one and the same group of people/production company. So I wanted to know, which software is the production standard (like Avid/Premiere for editing and Final Draft for Screenwriting) because I'd like to learn the program once and would't have to move the whole production data that has been saved over the next months/years into another programs account later when I find out.

Can somebody help me out here? That would be very nice!!!

Best,

Jonas

You seem to already know that. Final Draft for screenwriting in particular because it interfaces with Movie Magic scheduling and budgeting, which are the standard in those areas. Premiere/Avid are good but coming on strong is DaVinci which now edits as well as color corrects. Skip FC entirely - it's seldom used in professional environment and you can learn if fast if you need it. Unscripted goes with Avid a lot, feature with Avid or Premiere.
