I've been in children's book publishing for 30 years and and am now turning book ideas into screenplays. I have two scripts in revision and am hoping to meet other screenwriters and producers. My interests are in drama, historical, foreign language, brainy crime series, and children's programming.

Whitney - Great to have you here! What an impressive lineup of novels that you have. What made you decide to want to transition into screenwriting?

Hi Amanda — I studied film in high school and at Brown University. I always wanted to write screenplays but children's book writing kept me busy. Then, my travels to Tibet, Nepal, and India inspired a teen script set in Asia. And my post-Katrina discovery of a box of German war letters inspired me on a four-year journey to learn the fate of my husband's uncle who went missing on the Russian Front of WWII. My second script is about that journey.

Hi Whitney; Great to hear about your work and allowing your inspiration to follow such a fascinating trail of discoveries. I’m also a travel and history buff, just catching up on stage 32 after a bit of a hiatus. (Post above) Cheers, Theresa
