My team and I are working on the feature film version of our awrad-winning horror short, "Innards". We are working with Buffalo 8 and have a budget set at 1.1 Million. The script and package are currently going out to Sales/Distribution companies, and we are approaching talent for the film.
The original budget was set at 1.25M. We would like to raise an additonal 150 - 200K to guarantee we get the crew and other elements we need. This additional money would be used for under the line only, as we have a rather large portion of our budget dedicated to procuring "name" talent.
I would like to see if there is anyone that has any reccomendations for raising the additional money. Crowdfunding is obviously an option, and once we have at least one "name" attached, this will more than likely assist us, but, we are looking for another investor(s), to come on board. It would be our preference not to crowdfund.
A full package with ROI, schedule, pitch deck, and other necessary items is available to anyone seriously interested in the film. Again, we are currently out to a few Distribution/Sales companies, and our initial financing will be available to us once we move into obtaining LOI's and/or contractual agreements with cast.
I appreciate any advice or information any of you may have.

If you have the $1.25m already, it would be easy to get the rest through pre-sales of certain regions. Also, look into film credits/tax incentives. Some places they can be over 50% and there are financial companies that will front you the money.

If you're working with B8, why aren't they doing a lot of this stuff? Matt Helderman and Co tend to be very aggressive with projects they've gotten involved with?
