hello people!
this is Martino, a half Italian and half Spanish boy. Bad luck, in Spain people speak Spanish, and in italians speak Italian. So despiste my efforts my English will never ever be perfect.
Years ago, 2012, I wrote my first screenplay, in Italian. First thing I did was to to send "Amateur" to an Italian producer, Gianluca Arcopinto, whom is super famous for to have discovered many italians directos....and he liked it and wanted to make a movie, and me as director.
But as you know, I guess, in the film industry most of times to want something is not enough, we depend of many things. So the project died slowly, even before to be born.
The disappointment was deep so I kept working as Assistant Director and forgot my screenplay somewhere in my Mac. Til last year when I traduced it in English thinking that it will open many doors.
The problem, as you probably noticed, is that my English is not good enough. So I sent my screenplay to a couple of English friend and to my brother (his is the lucky one, his English is perfect) asking to correct it....and no one read it.
So today a friend of mine told me about stage32. Honestly I did not get how it works, so I started introducing myself.
I am here looking for a native English speaker with some experience with screenplays....to try it again, because I love my job but my soul still asks me to keep writting!
Keep going! There are several services you could pay for a rewrite!
but here in this web side? thanks!

A few months ago, I had a new writer send me his first 10 pages. They were "creatively rough and piecemeal". The formatting was all wrong, he spend paragraphs describing unimportant details and all the dialogue was in Italian. After I carefully rewrote what he sent me, it turned into 5 pages and I learned that Google Translate is also "creatively rough and piecemeal." when it comes to translating Italian.
After doing this, I'd definitely advise you to hire someone to translate your script, or at the very least use software to take your script from Italian to English then hire a proof-reader to fix the mistakes. The website fiver.com has people you can hire on the cheap.
