Hi all!
I have written and directed some short films over the past few years. But now I have written a TV series I was looking for some guidance on how to get scripts solicited?
Do I look for a manager or agent?
Any advice on this subject would be greatly appreciated!

Hey Ellie! Great to have you here. Congratulations on writing your TV series. As it happens, Stage 32 is running its 5th Annual TV Writing Contest and that is a great way to get your work in front of managers and producers. Our last year's winner Christine Torres is now represented by Brooklyn Weaver at Energy Entertainment after being set up on a meeting by Stage 32. The early bird deadline is on the 25th. So check that out.
I am not a big believer in query letters. In my experience from being in representation and production they are not terribly effective. There are a number of managers on Stage 32 who you can have read your script and ask questions of. They are very helpful and can give you tips and advice on how to land representation. If you like, email me at j.mirch@stage32.com and I would be happy to discuss this all further. Hope to hear from you!
