Introduce Yourself : Trivia question. Well, not really by Tim Ramsey

So, what is the actual size of a novel? Some say 90,000 words. I say "when I'm done telling the story. I'd like to think as I write I get more concise. Or at least just better at it. For example, my first novel was 144,000 words. The second was 130,000. Then I took time off and studied the novel form. My third is 75,000 words. 3 Acts, 5 parts per act, and so on. No "editorializing" like one reviewer said I did in my second book. Main character leads every chapter, etc. etc. So what say you?
