My name is Michael Rwamunahe. I have been a member of Stage 32 for a few years now, but this year I am finally making major strides in getting my work out there as a screenwriter (in the style of my hero, Billy Wilder.) I have just completed three scripts and several treatments.
The two scripts that I am planning to get out there is The Indifference of Angels, a love triangle in the style of Bridges of Madison County meets Steve Martin's Shopgirl, and a comedy-drama called Sam's Town (named after the Las Vegas hotel) about a retired actor looking back on his life as he makes some major life decisions. I just recently pitched Indifference of Angels and as soon as I finish polishing it, I plan to pitch Sam's Town. My dream project is to do the life story of baseball player Curt Flood, the man who sued baseball after being traded and in the process helped begin the process that created what we know as free agency in sports.
Take a look at my profile to see my several treatments. I wish major luck for all of us trying to take that major step in Hollywood.
