Hello! I'm Charles Mallory. I've been on Stage 32 for several years, but have not been active for awhile. I came back just in time to participate in the Introduce Yourself Weekend!
I just attended the inaugural Oklahoma Film + Music Conference in Oklahoma City. I learned that Oklahoma is becoming a destination for film production, both major and independent. "Stillwater" starring Matt Damon and Abigail Breslin is currently in production, and "Killers of the Flower Moon" starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Robert De Niro will be in production in Oklahoma in 2020.
The main message coming out of the conference was that Oklahoma is a great place to be if you're interested in working in the film industry. They have a good cash rebate program, and the Oklahoma Film + Music Office, a division of the Oklahoma Tourism and Recreation Department, is celebrating 40 years of promoting film and music in the state.
I am excited about getting to know new contacts better and finding new opportunities to collaborate with other filmmakers in Oklahoma and elsewhere on exciting new projects!
