Blue Story has been pulled from UK cinemas due to two separate incidents of violence during screenings. Gang violence across the UK happens every day, The film didn't bring about unsolicited violence, it just brought together two violent parties under one roof and they kicked off. I guess it was always going to happen. Is censorship the answer? I guess so, you have to protect the public. It's sad to see nevertheless. I for one would like to see it though, so hopefully it will get picked up at some point.

Wow. That's pretty sad - for the public, and for the producers. Hopefully no innocent bystanders were hurt, and hopefully it will get back in theaters.
Best fortunes in your creative endeavors, Karen!

Hi Bill, and you too. I note today the cinema chains have reversed their decision.

And who says that cinema has no impact on behaviour?

I'm glad they reversed their decision. Censorship isn't the answer.
Didn't happen during any screenings of the 1979 film Warriors. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Warriors_(film) Guess we Yanks are a bit more civilized.

There was online fear about the joker movie before it opened globally. Nobody got jacked at a screening. Last time I checked Joker grossed over $1B
Its a sad reflection of the blame culture. The violence kicked off in the minds of those whom took part. We can all blame film for our behaviour. Back in 70s Clockwork Orange was banned in several countries through fear of public reaction yet countries who showed it did not get thug reaction. There have been gang or psycho killer films going on years later with no street violence as an outcome. I feel sorry that the film producers got blame for the minds of a simple few. Last week I watched Hostel 3, did I go out and tear the faces off people in the street? How can criminals blame TV/Cinema for their behaviour? Like @Bill pointed out, its sad.

A topic well worth a long, hard and in depth discussion.
JD Hartman, your right mass shootings are the pinnacle of a civilized society.
KS, shootings by disturbed individuals, but not induced caused by any screen violence. Guess were stronger willed and not as as easily swayed by images on a movie screen.
