Hey friends,
I'm working on my first book for children and read a lot about it before began. Of course as many books of this genre I can find (I'm still reading on) and I discovered a great book about writing, written by James N. Frey (How to write a damn good novel). Especially his chapter about dialogues is really recommendable. So, I'm posting this in hopes that there is anyone else out there to exchange, motivate each other or build a writing group etc. For example: I figured out that I can't write this at the computer. That's strange because I of course write my screenplays at my computer. But these cute stuff for children (my target group is under 10) I can only write by hand. It took me really a couple of weeks before I knew how to work more concentrate and effective and get 5 pages a day written. So, now I feel good writing and in the flow.

Hi Elizabeth. I have been working on the illustrations for my children's picture book for some years and am nearly there. I would be interested in a writers group. I wrote my children's book in my head as a self-care course and turned it into the power of a child's imagination.
If is it okay to post my website (renitawellman.com), you will see that I blog about how archetypes drive plots and stories, especially in the old black and white movies.
Hey Renita, thanks for reaching out. I just invited you to my network as a first step. Will check your website etc now...
Okay, I saw your website - a very clean design. As I understand it you are a therapist first and you like painting. :) Would you show me some of your illustrations for books for children? Here's one of mine:

Hello Elisabeth, in 2013 I released a book for children in German KÖNIGSKATZENKINDER. As a screenwriter, I am writing in English for five years.
I am blessed to have a great writing community as friends. Welcome to you, Elisabeth!

Hat mich verraten? Ich wurde nach der Königin von England benannt. Da kann man nichts falsch gemacht haben. Aber Dein Name hat Deine Herkunft auch "verraten".
Herrlich. :)
