Introduce Yourself : Writer, Actress & Producer by Heather Dowling

Hello, everyone! I'm Heather Dowling and I am based in Los Angeles. Currently, I am in the middle of shooting (and starring in) a comedy series that I wrote with a good friend and acting accountability partner. It's DownTheMiddleSeries.com and we were able to raise $30k using Seed&Spark to get the project made and we plan to be done shooting by March! In the meantime, I premiered my second award-winning one-woman show, Fertile: A Conversation About the Expectations of Procreation at the Hollywood Fringe Festival. The show won the Producer's Encore Award and was nominated for Best Solo Performance out of 101 solo-shows. Since then, Fertile. has been selected for Solofest - the largest solo festival on the West Coast - and the 27th Annual LA Women's Theatre Festival. The awards have been nice, but the response from audiences was even better - so it's my hope to share the story in a bigger way on a broader platform...soon. Look forward to knowing y'all better!
