Innovations in film making

Film making had covered a long route since the first Train scrne that was silent.

During these quarantine global pandemic situation, crestivrs can utilizr their room bound time to come up with some INNOVATIONS.

CGI and FINAL CUT experts have this rare chance to stretch their brains.

Any comments ?

Really interesting. I was just talking yesterday to another director and a couple of more creatives and it seems that creative people are never just sitting around but always have something to tinker with.

But a good topic and I'm interested to see what people would come up with.

Richard "RB" Botto

I mentioned this yesterday on my AMA here, but I know a few filmmakers who are trying some extremely innovating things by having their cast film remotely and utilizing video conferencing software. Been fun to see some of the footage. Very inventive.

I am here to co-operate with all friendd here if we can cover the quarantine theme thru online shooting.. It should have been started. On my part I have started filming quaratined situations n milieu on my HD Camera which can be put to editing. It neeeds GLOBAL PARTICIPSATION.

@Tilak You are 100 per cent right, we need to be innovative and think out of the box, in order for our talents not to be stifled. Shakespeares era had the Bubonic Plague yet his artwork still resounds globally in theatres today, so we must not let a virus tie our hands. I am writing a horror script specially about this topic and obviously it requires “Remote Collaboration” but I’m not very internet/gadget savvy so now spending hours learning social media tools. We all need to keep positive and know that whatever is thrown at us in the next few months, nothing but nothing can stop us.

THANKS FOR YOUR REPLY. I've posted a Web Series Intro on YouTube:

please see my new YouTube channel...

Cabaret RED LIGHT by Tilak Raj

Quarantined web series that try to depict the global pandemic. It's open to global participation. You need not learn sny special multimedia skills. An ordinary smartphone/tab can do the job. Just shoot the Quarantine situations/milieu of your friends as you like n send the 10 minute videos to me. I add your videos to the main storyline. Editing is the job of CGI FINAL CUT experts. If you've friends who can do editing, still the better. I'm available for Live Chat on IMO n FB Messenger.

Sudden spread of the CRONOVIRUS and the desperate conditions of the masses world wide is the main theme.

You can easily pick the relevant situations n shoot.

Concerning money matters, we need to find a professional who can operate it as PAID channel.

Now, you know the current situation better thsn me. YouTube wants to multiply its wealth, but doesn't want content providers to earn. You know the cost of living in the West. My humble suggestion is that we launch the project n let CGI/FINAL CUT experts edit our videos. I begin with 1hr features n if we can gather good global content, then turn it into 2hr feature for HD Projecters.

So nice of you. I've not talked personal matters. We're so grossed in mundane matters. I'm M.A (Theology) from Andrews University. My son n daughter also earned Masters from Andrews. I feel so much guilty conscious when I'm not able to talk more intimately about our salvation. I been a Hospital Chaplain. I'm so ashamed that I didn't reply to your earlier comment.

God bless you more abundantly on this holy Easter.

Debbie Croysdale

Hi Tilak Thanks for your detailed update. I’m sorry also that we’re in a “Microbe Armageddon” and there’s less time to discuss personal matters but we have to gather our resources, so its understandable folks cannot answer immediately. At this stage I would not worry too much about where any footage is being edited and aired because when this is all over, I will do some pitching. I lost two private pitches so far this month due to government banning meetings and many other pitches April, also obviously unable to carry on film making. This is a curve ball for us all but our hands will not be tied as Artists. I look forward to “Remote Collaboration” on a global scale and the making of an out of the box film on epoch scale. Wishing you and your family all the best this Easter. I think the best way forward with a project of this type is to take baby steps and plan one day at a time. We could have “The best laid plans of mice and men” only to find out next week we are scuppered at another hurdle by this vicious virus. Art will out!

God bless you !

I'm talking about the same global collaboration. I'm about to shoot a scene outside. Sure, I'll reply you in the night.

TNANKS !
