Hi Everyone! My name is Caroline. I have written a couple of dramatic features and some comedy skits.
Through that writing it has come to my attention and this might have something to do with my degree in humane eduction. But I love to tell stories about how we treat people different then our selves. And almost all of those stories have a strong female lead.
This is probably why I am so excited about next weeks webinar about creating powerful female characters. I can’t wait.
Hey, Caroline! Nice to meet you! Oh, girl, you are in good company! We just had a Q&A with Meg LeFauve the writer of Inside Out and Captain Marvel. I might have wept tears of joy at her response to my question, too LOL! Have you signed up for the free month of the Writer's Room? https://www.stage32.com/writersroom
I was looking over your profile, but you don't have much there. Tell me about yourself!
I was at the Q&A with Meg Lefauve, such great advise. Love everything about her. I just went back to my profile after a long absence from stage 32 lounge area and realized it needs a good update. I have learned so much since then.
Let’s see about me I have been writing screenplays since high school, didn’t take it seriously till a couple of years ago, when I really started to learn the craft. I love to write drama and action feature length scripts and some comedy sketches. With some theme of humane education in there somewhere, the papery treatment of animals, the environment and other people.
Tell me more about you. What do you like to write?
Proper not papery
Nice to "meet" you Caroline! I am a Grand Rapids based actress, originally from California. I studied Psychology at Grand Valley State University. I have been doing mostly films the last few years, but every couple of years I go back and do some theater. I recently played one of the strongest female roles ever; Blanche in "Streetcar Named Desire" at Grand Rapids Civic Theatre. (At one point they were the second largest community theater in the country.) One of the greatest things I took away from that role is not to judge people as you don't know what they've been through that put them in their current situation. I look forward to your work and hopefully working with you sometime. Best wishes!
