Hi everyone,
New to the site. Bare with me as I get acquainted - Pleased to meet everyone.
So my partner and I have been working in production for over 30 years on various productions like Murdoch Mysteries, Fahrenheit 451, and American Gods in locations, production managed, and service producing, etc etc. We LIVE on set,.the long hrs, etc - a way of life I would not change..don’t think I would be able to do anything else.:)
At the same time, we have completed some of own smaller projects and developing projects of our own and are looking to partner, co produce , and/or sell.
One such project we are pushing is
Jocko’s Lantern - Feature/Limited Series
JOCKO’S LANTERN follows the intellectual Irish, African-Canadian writer Osborne Perry Anderson as he joins radical abolitionist ordained by God, John Brown and a mute horse-jockey boy with a ‘magical lantern on a wild-west adventure to topple slavery. Osborne travels the wrong way on the mysterious Underground Railroad to capture the United States Arsenal at Harper’s Ferry Virginia, arm the surrounding slaves, and incite a revolution.
Status: 3rd Draft, polish stage.
I can tell you, there is a story within the store for this project. Let’s just say some would rather not remember thus happened- but it did and we have not learned from the mistakes we made in the past - and worse yet, history will repeat itself.
If you are interested, just want too comment, or say hi please get back to me.
I hope everyone is staying safe.
Merci and Thank you.

Wow!!! Loved the synopsis of Jocko’s Lantern...cannot express the deep emotional uplift, this burgeoning conception can evolve into!!! Would love to be a part of it...
“Creativity is allowing oneself to make mistakes...Art is knowing which ones to keep!”
Monsieur Jarvis this is a keeper!
Thx Pierre. I am glad to provide some sort of uplift in this time. Crazy times they are. I am concerned to say the least of how this will change they way we live and it’s consequences. Well said about the mistakes. The story has been challenging to do - writing about a writer who decides to put actions to words. It’s also been challenging finding partners for this.

Your story is timeless, it is always the right time and never too late to learn from our mistakes as long as they are being repeated. The Smithsonian American Art Museum, showcased a short piece on Harriet Tubman last March, that I and fellow producer Nadine Patterson produced, they are always looking for works representing historical views on America. Good Luck!

Sounds interesting. Know they released a John Brown moving that I heard wasn't to good. Look forward to how you tell it from Osborne's POV.
