Hello! I am an 18 year old filmmaker and I just finished the first draft of my very first feature! If anyone would like to read my script and give feedback I would be eternally grateful! Email me at lrbartling@gmail.com

Hey, Lauren Bartling ! Nice to meet you! Congrats on your very first feature! Check in with the Screenwriting Lounge for more people down for an exchange: https://www.stage32.com/lounge/screenwriting
However, I have a few recommendations:
1) Get unbias professional script coverage first: https://www.stage32.com/scriptservices/coverage , and if I'm being honest, you should get it from three different readers, as some observations/advice will be subjective. Professionals are more likely to help you address the biggest problems first.
2) After your next round of revisions, register your script with the WGA: https://www.wgawregistry.org/registration.asp It's all of $20 and totally worth it.
3) THEN exchange your script with friends for free feedback, as you'll have a better idea of where you're going with your idea and you won't be prone to sway in any one direction. Also, your script will be protected legally before you begin the exchange.
ALSO, DON'T FORGET TO SEND IT AS A PDF!
Have you considered joining the Writer's Room? https://www.stage32.com/writersroom I think you'd appreciate it.
Enjoy exploring, and don't forget to comment and respond to others posts, too!

Thank you so much for all of this information! I was just wondering what does registering my script do?

Hi Lauren! Registering your script protects you as the initial or original creator that no one else can take away from you--it is considered an asset (i.e., intellectual property). Always protect your intellectual property!
