Hey Stage 32ers! I'm new to the team, but I've been in the film game for years. I'm based in San Diego, pay my bills by creating corporate videos, and I'm currently in development of my first micro-budget feature.
Any words of wisdom about Stage 32's culture and how best to use this awesome platform? And/Or a great flick you've recently seen?!
To making films!
B
PS: I haven't yet learned photo etiquette here, but... the above photo illustrates my enthusiasm to be here you fellow filmmakers!

Hey, Brandon Plantz ! Great to meet you! Oh, man, I LOVE THIS PHOTO! LOL!
Congrats on both paying your bills AND the micro-budget feature! Where are you in the process? I find coverage is totally worth it BEFORE you start submitting to festivals or pitching it to executives: https://www.stage32.com/scriptservices/coverage Also, if you're game for a script swap, you can reach out to the HUGE community on the Screenwriting Lounge: https://www.stage32.com/lounge/screenwriting
I think the best way to approach this community is with curiosity, enthusiasm, and focus - so you're nailing it! We're really all here to encourage each other, inspire each other, and to educate ourselves in the craft and business. As to how to utilize it, there are SO many ways! The real question is - what are you looking to do?
Well, just last night I saw Galaxy on Disney+ about the making of The Mandalorian. LOVE watching BTS stuff. Also, it's worth noting that Grammarly already knew how to correct my spelling of Mandalorian. Yep... that's the world we live in now LOL!
Enjoy exploring, and don't forget to comment and respond to others’ posts, too!
Maurice Vaughan & Karen "Kay" Ross ! Thank you both so much for the warm welcome, leads, and film answers. Very cool of ya of you two. I'm gonna reply more to you both via message momentarily.
