I read your synopsis of your story Mr. Grumbles. Very cool! I commend you on your thought out business plan for your book. Have you considered doing a crowdfunding campaign on Indie Go Go or Go Fund Me? I was also curious about the actual story and wondered if you have had it professionally critiqued (Miranda Paul is a professional author and gives amazingly insightful critiques that can help you improve your story) as well as received feedback from other writers in a writers group. It seems yo have an interesting premise and perhaps there is more of the story to discover so that it has a beginning, middle and end that creates an inner emotional journey from point A to point B and an emotional character arc for the kitten. Also, reading picture book query letters where the author gives a short summary of the story reflecting these transitions might help you should you want to continue developing the story's structure.
