Remote Film Editor

I hope everyone is staying safe during these crazy times.

I have just posted my new website for anyone in search of a film editor.

I am familiar with remote workflows, utilizing Frame io.

Cheers!

Hey Jacob, this is Karen from the Stage 32 team. I just wanted to let you know I moved your post from Post-Production to Your Stage, as it fits much better there. Let me know if you have any questions, and all the best to you!

I'm giving feedback on Fridays as part of a #FilmmakerFriday thing I'm trying! If you'd like to participate, scroll through Your Stage (https://www.stage32.com/lounge/promotion) and give feedback to at least three other videos that have posted! Then, copy and paste this info for them to join.

First off, LOVE Frame.io - used it for long-distance collabs with editors as a producer before COVID, and now it's so essential. Although, Dropbox has started including timecode notes now. Is there a particular functionality you like about Frame.io?

As for your reel - BAD ASS! Love your variety, love the pacing. If there would be any suggestions, it would be to lead with your television stuff and then into whatever you think your strongest edit is after that - although it wouldn't fit with your timing for the song. LOL! I just remember someone saying to start your reel with your strongest material. Admittedly, it all looks strong! Do you also have something on your website that describes how you like to work and the projects you like working on?

Thanks for sharing! I hope the feedback is helpful, and I look forward to seeing your notes on others' posts, too!

Hey Karen,

Thanks for stopping in. I have been using Frame io for client reviews/notes and believe it or not to transfer dailies and camera raw back and forth.

I totally agree with you about the TV stuff, for me since I am really pushing narrative editing as my focus I decided to start with that. My TV credits are mostly on the finishing side of things so that was the main reason, but I agree collaborators who don't know me would probably connect with the content they recognize more often. On my website I have a current projects section which is a blog about my most recent work. Also I am collaborating on a short film as we speak with a writer/director from Stage 32, so I've inked my first job from this site which is fantastic!

Again thanks for stopping in!
