Hello everyone. Hope all of you are remaining safe and healthy. I have an inquiry I'm hoping you can assist with: what type of microphone would you recommend for someone in the early stages of voiceover work - brand, model and cost estimate? Thank you.
Hi Mabel, As a podcast producer here in Australia a lot of work is being conducted at present remotely. Try and get a dynamic mic and if recording into your laptop you will need a USB one. Audio Technica brand is excellent although this is a condenser mic but still excellent quality. I am using these mics for recording with clients. Around $190 Aus. There's also the RODE USB brand as well. Both excellent for voice.
USB - get a Samson G-Track Pro. XLR (if you have an audio interface with phantom power) - get a King Bee by Neat Microphones (I have one and I like how it sounds and looks).

Blue Yeti for USB recording on a PC. About $180 bucks on Amazon.
Otherwise, I use Sennheiser MK4 in the studio. About $300
