Introduce Yourself : Welcome all others on the community! by Alexander Sparinsky

Alexander Sparinsky

Welcome all others on the community!

I am Alexander Sparinsky from Ukraine, a composer by profession; which means - a musician, arranger, musicologist and producer. I do everything that is necessary for the successful implementation of my music in a variety of genres, styles and aesthetics: from songs, choral A Cappella, instrumental miniatures, oratorios, to music for theater, cinema, and advertising. As Frank Zappa has token - 'Art is making something out of nothing, and selling it.'

My musicological searches and experiments led to the creation of unique samples of Ukrainian World music http://sparinsky.kiev.ua/easter/index.htm

I was surprised when I tried to realize the real volumes of the music I created over the 35 years: it's over 300 hours of original works!

And, besides making music, there were and are other activities: journalism - hundreds of articles and scripts written for a wide variety of publications, including radio and television; Supervising and producing crowded mass acts and shows in Ukraine; management and production of wonderful Ukrainian touring groups around the world, other musical international projects.

Video fragments of many of my creations can be found at https://www.youtube.com/user/Sparinsky

About 10-12 years ago, I discovered another extremely attractive side for my creativity: "turnkey" author's cinema production: from script writing, to directing, editing, music, effects, post-production. So there were documentaries and animated films; some of them presented at international film festivals brought me the unexpected success.

Believe me, it is really cool to discover in yourself new and unexpected aspects of creative activity; moreover, not only discovering them, but also realizing them, finding opportunities to create something and present these offspring all over the planet. It's like an impuls for further life!

What am I Working On now?

This is a new cartoon - 6 minutes mini musical for children based on the traditional Ukrainian fairy tale “Ivasik Telesyk” (Ivan the Plump). The script, animatic and musical part are created and recorded. It remains to create and animate plasticine characters, to make decent backgrounds, to start a live shooting on location, which is supposed to be there a little bit, and - proceed with editing.

And I also plan to finally lay out my tracks for the wide audience on music streaming Net platforms: let people around the world get acquainted with the work of the composer from Ukraine. In the end, I need to earn some money to create my next movie!

For those who will be interested to have a magnificent knowledge about my creative assets and ambitious – welcome to website http://sparinsky.kiev.ua

I tried, as far as possible, to present there the widest range of my works - from early poems - to filmography, discography, and everything else.

‘Have no fear of perfection - you'll never reach it’ this Salvador Dali’s quote is my way by my own life…
