Hi guys!
I've been with Stage 32 for a while now and have met some really cool people. Some of who I'm collaborating with on different projects.
Anyway I got in to filmmaking a couple of years ago thanks to the help of my partner who encouraged me because it was something that I had wanted to do when I was younger and then she started working in filmmmaking and I guess you could say that we help each other stay motivated and focused.
Before I was a filmmaker I used to do a lot of things and one of the most prominent in my life for the past 13 years has been salsa dancing and for the last couple of years I've been a dance instructor, performer and trainer. I think this has helped me become a better filmmaker because of it since I'm able to work with people and have also learned how to do what you need to tell the story. But the most important thing is that I learned that you need to put in the time and energy to make something happen.
For the last couple of months I've been working with Dan Guardino, who I met here on Stage 32 and we've been working on finding someone to fund and distribute the feature psychological thriller that I wrote the story for.
We've got a lot of work in front of us to get this film made and I know it's a hard road ahead but I think that's what makes it exciting.
On the other hand I'm working with my team locally on shooting a tv series pilot that we need to get done before the end of October and which we were actually supposed to shoot in April but got locked down but now that we're not and got held back because of the weather but we'll get it shot in a couple of weeks when the weather clears.
Anyway I love connecting with people so shoot me a line.
Catch you later guys

Hey, Vital Butinar! Always a pleasure to see your posts! How have you been? Glad to see you're moving forward with your projects! Great teaser - looks great! I will mention that without seeing a person to establish who the protagonist is - even just a hand or a partial face - it's hard to know what the story is about. If there is a way to include what the driving question is - or the "quest" - I think it would just amplify the impact of this teaser. Love the music and the tone, though!

Thank you Karen "Kay" Ross ! Yeah things are moving forward and I know the promo is not perfect but Leya Kokoravec actually improvised it from a couple of shots that we did at home since we have no cast yet. But we are working on another narrated version that will be a little more explanatory.

Hey, Vital Butinar! Awesome! Yeah, no offense meant - I think I'm just in reviewer mode from all our Writer's Room feedback sessions - the good, the critical, and then back to good. I like to think of Stage32 as the place where you both get to "check it before you wreck it" and show off once it's done. It still looks amazing! Congrats to you and your team for making it work! * long-distance high-five *
