What's Up With Watchmen?

There are LOTS of reason to watch HBO, and I've heard Watchmen is one of them. Apparently, it's particularly timely?

Tell me why it's worth the extra moolah! Also, is there a suitable comp?

HBO'S Watchmen was a blast in my opinion, i loved how Damon approached racism in America in correlation with the super hero genre. How he approached the police force in correlation to the public. Plus i think that he nailed story structure, everything is linked together and you only realize it in the end.

Thanks for that, Louis Tete! You had me at "Spike Lee", Nick Assunto - Stage32 Script Services LOL!

Watchmen brilliantly played in the world of the original Watchmen and created a unique story. The original Watchmen was a commentary on society. HBO's Watchmen was too. The acting was brilliant. The mysteries were built up and resolved. The characters were so well-done. And I really can't do a better analysis than Nick.

By the way Nick, in the film Watchmen I thought they copped on not having the squid as in the graphic novel. HBO's Watchmen wasn't afraid to go there .In fact that's kind of what made the series so good too. They were not afraid to go there. They dealt with tough subjects and faced them head-on. I even liked how there were characters you liked that turned out not to be as good as you thought.

Martin Reese

Exactly, Nick. The story buttoned up.

Thanks for that, Martin Reese! I guess it's time to watch it, then... LOL!
