Introduce Yourself : Fbi by Bobby Chacon

Hello all, I have been a member of Stage 32 for just a few months now but find the environment awesome for motivation and education. I love reading what others are up to and how they come to be here. I also learn a lot from hearing about other writers' experiences going through the same things I find myself facing in my young writing career.

While my writing career is young (three years) I am not. I spent my life, or 27 years of it and an FBI Agent working a variety of things around the world. I was posted in NYC (9/11), Los Angles, and lived in Europe, the Middle East and South America fo several years.

Born and raised in New York. My father and brother were both NYPD and it was actually my Dad who encouraged me to go into the FBI after I graduated from law school.

I have been a tech advisor for Criminal Minds Beyond Borders for two seasons and a writer's consultant on Criminal Minds for its last two seasons. That afforded me the opportunity to co-write one of the final episodes of Criminal Minds in its 15 year run. I then got a staff writer position on a limited series crime drama and got to co-write an episode of that as well (production delayed on that due to virus).

I am currently writing the next big network procedural hit (ha ha) and wrote a treatment for a half hour comedy that has gotten some traction. I also have a feature film in outline phase based upon an FBI mission I was part of in Southern Iraq in 2006.

I would love to get staffed in a writers room on a show based on the FBI or crime in general. Still trying to get my writing sample completed so I can send it around.
