So MANY actors, once they've achieved a certain level, seem to start a business as if to expand their personal brand. Chris Hemsworth with his health app, Sam Heughan with his Scotch and "Peakers", Kate Hudson with Fabletics, Reece Witherspoon with Draper James, and the long list of clothing lines hosted at stores (like Eva Mendes at New York & Co.). So, I'm curious...
If you could start a business adjacent to your acting career, what would it be and why? What would you hope to promote as part of your personal brand?

I teach a workshop ON branding, and it IS adjacent to my career, so that's what I would do :).
It's called the Sam Christensen Image Process. It's been around for 30 years, though I've only been a licensed facilitator for just over a year.

Learning the Film Business is an extension of the Acting Career.

Matthew Cornwell - I could totally see branding as a second career. I recently learned that SAG hosts a branding workshop, so it would definitely play into your wheelhouse.
Tasha Lewis - Totally, although I wonder what service you'd provide as part of that "film business" - marketing? or Development?
I've often think I'd open a spa/meditation retreat. So many spas are poorly managed and I would love to make a safe space for healing.

I would open a 'digital detox' resort and capitalize on the fact that phones don't work on my acreage.

I would use my 'fame' to Produce local, pro theatre.

I run a 501c3 Dog Rescue. So I’d just build and expand on what we’re doing already.
