Introduce Yourself : Actor, Radio DJ, Voiceover, Musician by Jake Cravotta

Jake Cravotta

Actor, Radio DJ, Voiceover, Musician

Greetings folks, my name is Jake, I'm from Rochester, NY. For the first 5 years of my life I grew up touring with my parents Jazz trio living in hotels, and loved every minute of it! Needless to say I succumbed to the desire to pursue a career in showbiz.  At age 12 I started making short comedy skits casting my friends for actors... Whether they liked it or not :) In my teens I joined a local performing arts theater group where I played Oscar Madison in The Odd Couple, also Curly in Oklahoma and my favorite: McMurphy in One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest! In my 30's I built a recording studio in my house, I wrote and recorded a CD (rock and roll). The CD received quite a bit of airplay in the United Kingdom, Ireland & Europe, Where Rock music is is still very popular. I then put a band together to play gigs, but continued to write and record my songs myself (playing all the instruments myself (drums, bass, guitars, keyboards and vocals... However I had some help when I needed some female background vocals. Since I had a nice recording studio in my house, and experience as a Radio DJ I decided to start doing freelance voiceover work which eventually led to writing and recording music for companies, one of them being a theme song for a professional sporting corporation.
