Tromaville accepting feature scripts

Lloyd Kaufman and the crew at Tromavilla are accepting feature screenplays. Has anyone done this or heard about anyone trying to do this?!

Martin Reese

I haven't, but it's worth checking out.

Matthew J. Kaplan

I know they accept submissions of finished films for distribution, but I have not seen anything about screenplays. Do you mind sharing further info or a link? Thanks!

Erik A. Jacobson

Troma is a cult movie distribtor known for their extremely low budget films. For years they have been something of a joke in the international film community because of schlock films with titles such as "Toxic War".

Matthew J. Kaplan

Thanks for the link, Paul. Hard copies only - yikes :) - all the best!

John Ellis

I know - hard copies only?! What is this, 1990?

Doug Nelson

On 3-hole punch paper bound with 2 (no more) #4 brass rivets? That's the way we did it.

Dan MaxXx

Doug, we used ACCO #5 brass fasteners.

I guess Troma’s script pay is less than $4000, based on my knowledge of Full Moon Entertainment, another prod company in the same dvd shelf space as Troma.

Karen "Kay" Ross

I keep a box of brass rivets, just for instances like this ;-)

Peter Roach

Come on $4000 is $4000. I'd write COVID Avenger for Troma for $4,000. I have needs and teens with growing feet.

Doug Nelson

Dan, you're right - I forgot - it's #5. I still have a box of 'em in my desk drawer.

William Martell

What if I don't accept Troma?

Erick Freitas

Nice! I'm 100% going to apply!
