Last night Joel Foster who plays the lead in my short film ZAP! and I walked through the blocking and ran through the script a few times to hone in on nuance. We shoot this next Thursday and sooooo looking forward to it! Here's Joel in action as Curtis Airy.
Awesome news, Philip Sedgwick! Good thing to have a walk-thru. Is there a reason you decided to do it the day before? I would think to make sure you have plenty of time on the day, but I'd love to know more!
Thank you, Karen "Kay" Ross I did it early so the actor could go back over the notes from the session and it reconfigured a few shots. Picked up our amazing telescope yesterday, have it tested and use of in memory. We are good to go. No wind forecast (yea!). To be fussy a ten degree cool down during set up would be nice. It'll be 95 when the crew is setting up at our 4:30 PM call time. We have a site where you can see some shots. After we lay out a basic edit timeline, I'll be adding more to the site. www.zapthefilm.com
Love it, Philip Sedgwick! And taking those extra precautions sounds like how sets should move forward in our post-COVID world. Keep us posted on your progress!
Social distancing, minimal crew and only one cast member, mandatory masks, gloves required for any contact with shared gear, devices. Tons of BZK wipes, sanitizer and soap. Actually I think we have enough to last until the next ice age!
Setting up basic stuff right now for the night shoot. It's hot out there!!
