Introduce Yourself : Hi Everyone! by Chandler Bolt

Chandler Bolt

Hi Everyone!

New to Stage32 and excited to be here!

I'm a writer and developer, here in Los Angeles, working in both scripted and unscripted. I spent the last few seasons as a casting AP for MTV's Catfish: The Series but now, I'm taking this pandemic time to develop my own projects which include raising two amazing daughters and logging more hours on Final Draft than I do sleeping.

Can't wait to connect!

Some of my recent accolades:

Winner “Best TV Concept” 2020 Los Angeles Script and Storyboard Showcase

Finalist “Scripted Comedy for TV” 2019 IndustryBOOST Competition

Semi Finalist “Feature Film/ Series Script” Cinema Lab 2020

Official Selection “Best Feature Live Action Narrative” 2020 Lift off Sessions @ Pinewood Studios

Official Selection “Best Web Series” 2020 First-Time Filmmaker Sessions

Official Selection “Best Live Action Narrative” 2019 Lift Off Session @ Pinewood Studios

Official Selection “Best short script” 2020 Los Angeles International Screenplay Awards

Official Selection “Best Script” 2020 Bebop Channel Content Festival

Hey, Chandler Bolt! My name is Kay, I'm the Community Manager here at Stage 32. Nice to meet you and excited to have you here! Wow, congrats on your accolades, your extra writing time, and your awesome father-time! Where are you in the writing process? Do you need feedback before your next revision or are you revving up to pitch? Definitely reach out to our Director of Script Services, Jason Mirch, who is excellent at matching projects with potential executives (or managers, in your case): J.Mirch@stage32.com

You should definitely jump in on the November Write Club: https://www.stage32.com/blog/The-Stage-32-November-Write-Club-is-Back-Wh... It's a great event to gain some inspiration and accountability! Also, this weekend is Introduce Yourself Weekend, so stop back through, comment and meet some new people!

I’m sure you’ve already discovered the Screenwriting Lounge (https://www.stage32.com/lounge/screenwriting), but I'd LOVE for you to post in the Producing Lounge: https://www.stage32.com/lounge/producing I've done some work in reality TV as well - maybe you could start a post about what it's like doing casting AP work?

Keep in mind that these lounges are like the VIP Filmmaker's Lounges at Film Festivals, so this is where you can meet the people doing the work, get advice on anything you're working on, and/or give back to those who may need advice. We're a very supportive and encouraging community! I think you'd also enjoy my intro blog post on how to engage with the Stage32 Community:

Enjoy exploring the lounges, and don't forget to comment and respond to others’ posts, too! It's the best way to really connect! And, of course, feel free to reach out at any time.

Thanks Karen, I sent an email to Jason Mirch and will check out the links you provided!
