Hey, I have been working on an animated project for like the entirety of 2020. I've written the plot, pilot episode, and even have some art for the environment and characters. I've been trying for the last few weeks to find some form of literacy representation.
I know this is a hard thing to do so I thought I could find some guidance here. I've used a website called Virtual Pitch Fest and got rejected from all of my pitches. I was however complimented for my story query. I was pretty much told that it was a great idea but just wasn't their fit from numerous places. One company tell me that my project was good it was just a budget issue and that I should take my project to Amazon or Netflix.
I know it is really hard to get into a industry like this and stay afloat, but I like to believe I will get there some day. I can take solace in the fact that I am 18 years-old and I have my whole life to get to that point. So it feels nice that I have been told that I have a gem, just need to find the right direction.
I know this sounds more like a rant than a question, but I do need some help or guidance. Any would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Shyhiem,
Welcome - Great question. I'm not involved in animation, so my advice is observational.
Think about entering your screenplay into some animation specific contests.
Look at partnering with some graphic designers and illustrators - develop your idea as a short that you can put on the circuit.
Look at doing an internship at an independent animation studio (Ireland has a number of award-winning animation studios)
Thanks for the advice I will definitely try that out!
Thanks Barry!
First of all keep trying and never give up with your dreams. As mentioned go for contests. Publish books on your ideas. Getting your work out there is the key. Brand yourself as an artist/animator, create the following of your work.
My book has been published and read, my audience continues to grow. Lately there are more original books that have been published than movies.
Thanks Barry.
