Hi everyone! I'm Nick Botic, a Milwaukee-based author and screenwriter. I've written screenplays since I was 12 (no one is claiming they were any good!), but I really came into my own about 6 years ago when I started writing prose. The world of online horror literature is expanding exponentially, with such Hollywood mainstays as Steven Spielberg and Ryan Reynolds making the foray into adapting projects from the very same community I am considered an all-time great in.
I've joined Stage32 in the pursuit of a new manager. The problem is that I'm not really sure how to do that. When my work began going viral and getting significant traction back in 2017, I became involved with a burgeoning manager as a result of my being eager and buying into promises of superstardom (nobody's fault but my own naïveté). I severed ties with that manager in late 2018, and I've been trying to move forward with more realistic expectations of progress, and I feel as though I'm at a point where getting a real, true manager is the next step.
I've written over 100 short stories, been published in >15 books, and am currently in the process of producing a comic book, the first issue of which serves as the basis for my short film screenplay that I'm also looking to shop around (but have no idea how!). I say this not to brag, but to illustrate the experience and skill I can bring a manager's roster.
I look forward to networking with all of you and learning more about the business I'm looking to get into!
Hey, Nicholas Botic! My name is Kay, I'm the Community Manager here at Stage 32. Nice to meet you! Congrats on your writing success thus far!
