Hello everyone, I'm an actress from LA.
Last year I starred in the pilot and subsequent episodes of a crime-thriller mini series, ‘Duty's Veil'. The show was filmed in Cardiff, UK and went on to be screened at, as well as win awards at, multiple international film festivals.
I am now planning to digitally adapt the award-winning novel 'Sinful Cinderella' by Anita Valle into a feature film. Sinful Cinderella is a dark retelling of Cinderella. In this version, Cinderella is not a kindhearted angel, instead she is motivated by revenge. The novel has over 4.5k ratings and 750 reviews on Goodreads, over 900 reviews on Amazon, and over 200k reads on Wattpad. Thus far I have optioned the literary work from the author and have worked with Welsh screenwriter Anona Thomas to draft a full script. I can provide the script, treatment, and pitch document for anyone interested.
As the lead actress, I am now looking for a production company to take the reins of all forthcoming production aspects. I would invest a portion of the capital and the company would invest the remainder.

When you say "dark retelling", would you still say it's a coming-of-age film? Romance? I think "dark" just confirms that it's drama. I haven’t pitched to any executives through the Stage 32 pitch sessions because I’m not trying to sell the script, as the lead actress I’m planning on investing a portion of the capital and I’m just looking for a production company who might be interested in investing the remainder and making it. I’d say it’s a gothic fairytale, but not exactly a romance. Thanks for the info, I'll definitely reach out to him
