Happy Me Day, fellow creatives. I've been on the outskirts of this site for a fairly long time, but never really posted anything or gotten involved. A variety of reasons, but mainly because I haven't been operating on all cylinders career-wise for a while. I have two kids, which isn't a barrier to my career aspirations, but if I'm honest, I've allowed it to be a bit of a "Good Distraction". But Covid's silver lining for me has been that I took the time to dust off the cobwebs artistically. I pulled out the 1st draft of a feature script I started a few years ago, and built it into the best thing I've ever written. It's a music-based comedy; I've also written 16 songs for the film, and am in the process of recording two of them. Once that's done, I'm planning on turning all my attention to getting this thing made.
One thing that's nice about a January birthday, is I get the 1-2 punch of New Years and today to apply a double dose of pressure on myself to bring my life to the next level.
Kind of a long post here, I guess. But I've been wanting to Introduce Myself here for a while. Now on to reading YOUR Introduce Yourself posts. Looking forward to meeting you all.
