So, something about myself. I'm a retired professor who, in my covid-inspired retirement, returned to my love of dramatic writing. Following on from my playwriting activities, I have now written seven screenplay, all of which have won awards upon awards. But, having taken no filmmaking/writing courses ever, I'm realizing that some contests are more important than others. There are some that are a pat on the back, even a certificate, and others that gain recognition by the movers and shakers in the industry. So now I'm trying to determine which are the latter, the contests that are of real import, the ones that producers, managers and agents study. Any help appreciated.

I am going to suggest you repeat this question in the Screenwriting forum - someone there should be able to answer it.
