Hi there! I'm Julia Manis -- a fiercely authentic and highly trained actor with emotional depth and an endearingly dark wit. And yes, I do get compared to Phoebe Waller Bridge and Allison Janney a lot! Add Tatiana Maslany to that mix and that is my essence.
My short film, "Mel and Ruby" is wrapping up its festival run and will be premiering in March 2021. I wrote, produced, and starred in the film and just included captions, video transcript, and audio description so that the final film will be fully accessible. Also, I starred in a short film that's hitting the festival circuit right now called "She Had it Coming"! It was directed by Gedde Watanabe (of "Sixteen Candles" fame) and written by Anna Keizer.
In my spare time, I love reading, baking, dancing, singing, pilates, and being a total history nerd. During quarantine, I've spent most of my time honing my writing skills, reading, and scrapbooking.
I look forward to connecting with you! I've loved film my whole life and there's nothing I love more than chatting about fantastic films and performances. Let's connect!
