Hello everyone! I’m super new to Stage 32. I’m currently an Art Director working at an ad agency in NYC, but I’d love to work at an entertainment company (e.g., Netflix, ViacomCBS, NBCU, Disney, Amazon Studios, etc.) and eventually get into development one day.

Hi Sydney, as one (former) AD to another, welcome! Folks can really benefit from the sharp presentation that a good designer can bring to titles, promotional materials and even the props in the film itself.

Hello Sydney, welcome to the site. When you mean Art Director for an ad agency, do they mainly create print work? Or do you create video ads? I'm asking because I'm a storyboard artist. Most of my gigs come from tv/web spots. I have some samples in my profile.

Welcome to S32! Both David Fincher and Michael Bay made the leap from short-form advertising to long-form feature and TV projects; just two famous of the many, so it's definitely not only doable but I'd imagine a perfect springboard to leap from.
