I'm Julie and I'm an American scriptwriter, comedian, and performer living in London. I've been focusing on stand-up for the last 5 or so years and like to start making more comedy shorts again. I would especially love working with more female directors in the comedy sector. Also, I've started script editing in the pandemic (so far only comedy). Happy to collaborate on things, so if there's anyway I can help you, please don't hesitate to get in touch!

Hey, Julie Grady Thomas! My name is Kay, I'm the Community Manager here at Stage 32. Nice to meet you and welcome to the community! Oh, man - you are living my dream! Maybe not the stand-up part, but definitely the American in London part. Do you even miss anything over here? LOL!
We've had a huge wave of people from the U.K. on the site of late, including two DPs (if you're still looking for one). Definitely check the Filmmaking Lounge, as I believe they've been hanging out there: https://www.stage32.com/lounge/directing Otherwise, I'd LOVE for you to post in the Screenwriting Lounge (https://www.stage32.com/lounge/screenwriting) and Acting Lounge: https://www.stage32.com/lounge/acting Maybe you could discuss what you've learned during your time both doing stand-up and overseas?
Keep in mind that these lounges are like the VIP Filmmaker's Lounges at Film Festivals, so this is where you can meet the people doing the work, get advice on anything you're working on, and/or give back to those who may need advice. We're a very supportive and encouraging community! I think you'd also enjoy my intro blog post on how to engage with the Stage32 Community:

Enjoy exploring the lounges, and don't forget to comment and respond to others’ posts, too! It's the best way to really connect! And, of course, feel free to reach out at any time. Cheers!
