Hey, Stage32 Peeps!
I'm Cara Winter, and I'm a screenwriter currently represented by Bohemia Group (LA). My original TV pilot TWIRL is currently in development (was optioned in February); Cynthia Mort is attached as showrunner and Melanie Mayron is attached to direct. I've adapted two books for the screen this past year, and we are out pitching both: MISS BUBBLES STEALS THE SHOW about a young, aspiring actress who's upstaged by her own cat, and CHANEL BONFIRE, a NY Times bestselling memoir about two sisters who survive narrowly survive being raised by a real-life Holly Golightly-meets-Mommy-Dearest.
Next, I'll be co-writing a video project at M.I.T. about Ethics in Artificial Intelligence, and looking for my next TV or Film project (books or articles to adapt, etc). I'm also developing two animation projects, one for kids and another for an adult audience. I'd love to meet other established writers, directors and/or producers!
