Hi everyone! I am really excited to be part of this Sceenplay Lab with you. I enjoyed listening to your stories and Thomas's critique on them. He was so caring and thorough to go through each of our stories and give us ideas on how to proceed. I've been working on my one page - and have written three pages so far! Streamlining/summarizing to 300 words or so is quite a challenge. How's your work going this week?
Hey Selma, I liked your story, by the way. Looking forward to hearing your one page. Unfortunately, I didn't start yet. I think revisiting a script is worse than starting a new one. Good luck with your script!

Hi Ahmed, I was also in the process of revising a script - a true story about an Edwardian dancer who became famous as Salome in London in 1906 and has an affair with the Prime Minster's wife!!! I decided to leave it for now as I don't feel this Lab isn't about rewriting - I personally don't want help with an existing script.. Well I do! but not in this forum!!! I think your story is very exciting - I listened with open eyes!!! I'm sure your one page will be great - it will certainly help you move forward when you figure out how all elements tie together when the main conflict is resolved.
Thanks, Selma, for your kind words. Yeah, you are right about the lab is not mainly about rewriting. I feel this script is blocking me from doing anything, so I want to get it out of my way. :). Your other story is really quite an interesting subject. You remind me of a story that my father told me about the Chef at my grandfather's house and how he had an affair with the prime minister's wife of Egypt!. The Chef was really something, and he taught my father how to play on the Oud as he had musical talent. He used to take him to Mohammad Ali street, where Belly dancers and singers are located at this time :).

Maybe that's the story you should write at this Lab. It sounds like a rich and exotic tale!
I finished it at last. I did the same script, but I hope I fixed the structure at least!
