Introduce Yourself : Hello Stage 32 tribe! by Fred Mindlin

Hello Stage 32 tribe!

I'm an unreconstructed Hippie pushing 80 and ready to bring back some of that Sixties Magic with my string game stories. Looking to find others who grok the "Original Digital" stories we can all learn to tell with a simple yard-long loop of cordage...

Pushing 80? Wow, Fred, I'd say you pushed it all the way back to 60! Good job staying young.

My string games usually consist of practicing basic knots around the campfire on my backpacking trips. And the rabbit runs around the tree... in... um... which direction?

Ricki Linksman

Thank goodness you made it to 80! Lots of great stories from the 60s to share. My parents said I was too young to go to the Beatles concert in Flushing Meadow Park, NY, so I had to wait years to finally see a Beatle perform live, when Paul McCartney did his solo tours. There's my 60s story! Someone also once said that if you remember the 60s you weren;t there!

Go Fred! 80 years is

Eighty does have that impossible ring to it. I'm actually only 77 this year, but that means I have only three years left to finish my Project for my Seventies Decade, which is to get as many people as possible (especially kids between 6 and 10) doing string games regularly... I already have two Ten Year Plans mapped out for my Eighties and Nineties Decades, which I created when I was 69 so I'd be sure to reach my Centenary in 2044...
