New at Stage32! Happy to share a little about my career and projects!

Dear colleagues, I am a Director working in the animation industry. Originally from Italy, I moved to LA in 1997 and have been working ever since as a 2D/3D animator & Story Artist on many animated feature films at Dreamworks, Disney, Sony Imageworks, WB and Illumination Ent. I am currently directing Hitpig, an animated feature film at Cinesite Studios in Montréal, working remotely from LA. I also wrote and directed a short film called Mila, based on my mother's experience as a little girl caught up in the middle of WWII. Mila was produced thanks to more than 350 artists that volunteered from 35 countries for more than ten years. Very excited to share the news that we are finally starting the festival circuit premiering at Animayo this week!! Happy to be here and share some of my experience and learn from you all!

Wow, what an incredible journey! How is working virtually working out for you? Are there any speedbumps or are you finding it helps solve previous problems?

Cinzia Angelini

I have been working remotely on animated features for the last 6 years and on my short the last 11. Working remotely as a choice is one thing, but when it’s imposed as it has been on all of us in the last year, it becomes something else. Still, I think that the remote work will end up bringing us all closer together and improve how we work together once we’ll be able to get back to a more normal working life. It definitely showed us all that there are other ways of working.

I think this experience has strengthen our industry and we are more aware of how important we are to one another.

@Cinzia Mila sounds fascinating. Cool you directed for Disney animation. Animation has grown since pandemic, even thrillers executed by some studios.

Jackie Tarascio

Good luck!! I've only seen the trailers, can't wait to see it in full!
