So, I happened to peer-review a script from a new writer on another Script Peer-Review Platform I have never met, nor have I communicated with ever. This script was magnificent. Not to say it's perfect, but it's one of thee best reads I have ever encountered out of all the subpar and terrible scripts I've ever volunteered to review online. Very compelling, very involving, very emotional, and all the more spectacular as the writer's first language is German.
I feel as though this script and this writer certainly deserves some real attention, as it has real optionable / greenlightable potential. How would I go about getting her public work out for more of the right people to read?
The Screenwriter simply goes by Anne, the story is titled: Sub Rosa, and her 113 page story's synopsis goes: When a grieving mother, certain that the only way to get her life back and repair her relationship with her son is to restore their garden together, she won't be deterred, even when he refuses to help. She hires an enigmatic stranger with a dark secret whose ministrations help to bring her and her garden back to life, but when she discovers the gardener's secret she must make a choice to sacrifice herself for her son if she doesn't want to lose him forever."
Any suggestions on how we might spotlight her well-deserved wonderful work?
The “Nichol” if it is great we’ll get some interest.
It would help to repair the grammar in the first sentence of the synopsis (which seems more like a long logline). I would suggest editing it to say: "When a grieving mother decides that the only way to get her life back and repair her relationship with her son is to restore their garden together, she won't be deterred, even when he refuses to help."
Also, it's unclear what she's grieving over. At first, "grieving mother" implies that her child (son) has died, but then it goes on to mention her (living?) son.
I don't own her script, nor do I want to submit it myself on her behalf without her knowledge. I just want to help get more eyes on a talented writer's work, rather than let it collect dust beneath a tonne of terrible others. I think she's truly deserving of it in this case.

There's not a great deal you can do in the short-term but you can support her in the long-term which will be powerful. Champions are a wonderful thing to have when you're looking for validation and a reason to keep going. I'm sure thankful for mine.
