Screenwriter David Santo on joining LS Book Services, LLC

Read multi-award winning Screenwriter David Santo's interview with NBC's affiliated station WRDE, as he speaks about joining LS Book Services, LLC! https://www.wrde.com/story/44087853/ls-book-services-signs-david-santo...

David Santo

This looks ah-may-zing! I'm thrilled to be working with LS Book Services!

David Tackett

Uh, this should be a "your stage" kind of post. Especially when it's an ad you bought on WRDE, not an actual story reported by them...

Lisa Simpson (yes, Really)

I did not pay for this ad. I have never contacted WRDE. The screenwriter above, sent this to me. I had no idea he was doing this. I appreciate him for it, though.

Thank you Barry

It’s not a question of whether LS is good or bad. This forum has rules against promotions and this is clearly about promoting your company’s services. Like I said, this is a “your stage” post.

Dan Guardino

David. You are wrong about promoting.

They do “allow all members to promote their projects, reels, crowdfunding campaigns and anything else they'd like to shine a light on in the Your Stage section of the Lounge.”

Here is what is not permitted:

Spamming multiple member walls or multiple Lounge topics with the same message or promotion. Sending canned private messages to multiple accounts. Soliciting payment for a product or service via wall posts, Lounge posts, private message, project posting, etc. Crowdfunding promotion for your own projects is allowed in the appropriate sections of the Stage 32 Lounge.

None of that sort of thing is being done here on this thread.

Thank you Dan

Uh, Dan. You just agreed with me. This is NOT the “Your Stage” section but the “Screenwriting” section and thus, not appropriate to promote in this section.

Dan Guardino

David. She is not looking for financing or crowd funding so posting it here is not inappropriate. She is just letting people here know her company got a new client. There is nothing wrong with her doing that.

David Tackett

Dan, this is sharing a paid story promoting her company. How can it be any clearer that this belongs in the “your stage” section????

Dan Guardino

David. I don't know if anyone paid money or not. As far as I can tell she just posted an interview that mentioned her company. Honestly I don't see what the big deal is either way. I am working on a rewrite which is a better use of my time since I am getting paid a lot of money to do it.

I had thought about removing this post, however, it seems to have gained some traction. :)

Dan Guardino

Lisa. Some discussions gain traction and some don't depending on the subject. It is no reason to remove or keep a post.
