As a film and event Publicist, I recently worked the red carpet at an in person, indoor, in a real theater movie premiere with real people attending to watch a new, indie documentary with a filmmaker Q&A. The red carpet included stars of the film and grateful media outlets who were truly excited to just be there! It is surreal in some ways to be getting back to our PR normal after a huge hunk of time away. We have exciting events planned once more as the wheels begin to fall off the covid-style crack-downs we know all too well.
While masks can still be worn, we enjoy our no mask time don't we? California has now begun to fully open more and more. I have noticed that many people are feeling more at ease. I hope this is how this new "norm" plays out. Don't you?
Here is a link to one of the stories posted by media attending in case you were interested in knowing more about the film and the event: https://www.peoplesworld.org/article/altitude-not-attitude-a-freewheeling-wheelchair-bound-for-glory-story-on-film/
Roz, glad to meet you. I will pass your information on to the producers I work with.
Wow, how the heck was that red carpet?!? Yeah, I'm happy to not wear my mask anymore, especially since there is no way to wear lipstick when taking it on and off, but I'm all about keeping that hand sanitizer handy! LOL I do wonder how precious indoor events will continue to be about capacity, though. The way some things are laid out, it's hard to feel comfortable at even moderate capacity - like a baseball game at 75% capacity, for example. The seats are still so small and everyone is pumping elbows. Then again, that example is outdoors, but still... where there is a lack of space, I predict masks will still be worn.
