In the 90's Russel Crowe made a small Australian film called the Sum Of Us which is all about the relationship between Russels character a gay rugby player and his father played by Jack Thompson.

I desperately want Joe West from CW's The Flash to be my dad. LOL
I've recently seen Russel Crowe on Fathers and Daughters that was pretty harrowing.
Bit of a cliche, but Atticus Finch is still my favorite.
