Peer to Peer Advice

Greetings!

I'm an author (three books), indie filmmaker (one film), and screenwriter (countless spec scripts). I'm based in the Los Angeles area and I've been on Stage 32 for a few years now.

I've just recently taken advantage of the paid opportunities through Stage 32 to pitch to film execs and I'm two for two so far! I've only pitched twice in my lifetime and with both pitches through Stage 32 I've managed to have the film exec request my scripts.

I hope to have a "success story" to share after they read my scripts. I recommend taking advantage of the classes, pitches, etc... on the platform. It's one more option to add to contest submissions and query letters (if people still do those) to get yourself and your work exposure.

Good luck!

Also an author (four novellas and short story collection) and screenplay writer. I had a pitch a few months ago. It seemed to be positive with the feedback but I guess I gave him the wrong email. Looking forward to the upcoming horror screenplay contest.

Congratulations, Chris! That’s awesome! Have you thought about joining the Writers’ Room? There are so many great things that happen in there from pitching exec’s, practice pitch tank, script coverage, learning about the business and craft and so much more! If you’d like to try it out for a free month, please email Jason Mirch (j.mirch@stage32.com), the Director of Script Services!

Congrats! The Stage32 community has been helpful to all of us. It’s the least bias area I’ve encountered on the internet. Only giving critiques and no scams. Best of luck on your end.
