Hello Stage 32 peeps! Jonathan from Southern California. When I am not making specialty stringed instruments for Film/TV composers, I am contemplating a video series about the my unusual field of instrument engineering/craft. A lot has changed in our world and after a vigorous 20 year marathon, I am looking to change my day up a bit as sort of a "burn out buster!" Perhaps irreverent fun with "Life craft" caveats and some ancillary foodie/wine adventures between instrument laboratory engineering stunts. Who knows? Just throwing the initial spaghetti to the wall and seeing what sticks. (Buried under that 20 year pile of dust is a storyteller/producer crawling out!) In the mean time, hope to interact with some people in this space!

Uh, you should absolutely do a series about the unusual field of instrument engineering/craft! There was a doc I caught at SDFF some years ago, I think it was called Trimpin? Hey Jonathan, your guitarviols are the BEST (as I'm sure you know already!) and some craft videos alongside food adventures sounds incredible! Have you thought about filming your crafting work at all? There could be a really beautiful wordless short film in just close up shots of watching you work on your instruments (giving no trade secrets away, of course).
